This\nis indeed a very interesting question and I would like to clarify at the very\noutset that though I have never subscribed to the five myths I am discussing\nahead, they are extremely popular and hence I would like to bring them forth\ngladly as they are playing havoc in the minds of the common gullible believer.\nEspecially, as they do not have any classical base and are merely based on\nhearsay. Furthermore, they do not have any Scientific or Climatic or\nGeographical or for that matter any other rationale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A.<\/strong> You should not\nhave \u201cThree Doors In A Row\u201d<\/strong>. This is probably the most commonly\naccepted Myth. In fact many a Vastu Shastra consultant also seriously adhere to\nthis pseudo rule. They make the folly of asking clients to close down doors or\nshift them so that they do not fall in a line. This is pure harassment of the\nclient who knows nothing about this subject and purely believes in what is told\nto him. The shifting of doors and making of walls in their places unnecessary\ntakes a toll on the client both in terms of Money and Peace of Mind. Finally,\nafter undergoing this gruesome exercise one is left with no positive results as\nthe entire theory is itself flawed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

B.<\/strong> \u201cVyaghara Mukhi\u201d<\/strong> plots\nor built structure are bad or inauspicious while \u201cGaumukhi\u201d<\/strong> plots\nor built structures are good and auspicious. This is totally rubbish. In both\nthe cases there is a cut in a certain direction or directions and extension is\na certain direction or directions. So speaking from the true Vastu Shastra\nperspective both of them are equally bad. I have rummaged all the ancient\nscriptures of Vastu Shastra for any remote reference of this apparent tenet and\nhave only come out with absolutely no mention about this in any authoritative\nbelievable text. Hence, dear friends regardless of whether your plot or built\nup structure is \u201cVyaghara Mukhi\u201d<\/strong> or \u201cGau Mukhi\u201d<\/strong> you\nwill need to carry out some serious corrections and do not be under the false\nhope that a \u201cGau Mukhi\u201d<\/strong> plot or structure is going to bestow\nany miraculous results upon you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C.<\/strong> Vastu Shastra rules\nor governs the position of \u201cWall Clocks\u201d<\/strong> in a Vastu. No\nancient text that I have read ranging from Maymatam, Mansara, Rajvallabh,\nVishwakarma Prakash, Kamika Agam, etc have ever mentioned anything in regards\nto the position of the Wall Clock. This rule has been picked up from Feng Shui\nand pasted in the name of Vastu Shastra. In the course of my giving\nprofessional advice to my esteemed clients I clearly state that one should\nsimply place a clock in the direction which is convenient to the person rather\nthan considering any appropriate or inappropriate directions for the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

D.<\/strong> One cannot have a\nStaircase in the North, Northeast and the East directions. Especially the\nNortheast direction. This is another unfounded rule which stems out of some\nmisconception of the basic understanding of the science of Vastu Shastra. Vastu\nShastra consultants many a time have never ever read the ancient scriptures\nthemselves and hence they simply pass on norms which they have heard from other\nhalf baked Vastu Shastra consultants. These kind of rules are a resultant of\nthese loose talks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\npersonally disagree with the school of thought that says that one cannot have a\nstaircase in the North, Northeast or the East directions. I would like to back\nup my statement with some classical facts which are stated ahead. \u201cMansara\u201d<\/strong>,\nVol.4, Chapter 36 and Shlokha 72 has clearly stated that one can have a Stair\ncase in all the four Main directions, that is, in the North, South, East and\nthe West. It has further stated that a Staircase can also be placed in all the\nsubsidiary directions like the Northeast, Southeast, Southwest and the\nNorthwest directions. E.<\/strong> Choosing a\nbungalow, flat, plot, etc on the basis of its \u201cNumber\u201d<\/strong> and\ncalling it a Vastu Shastra norm. The number of any property does not have\nanything to do whatsoever with the Vastu Shastra requirements of the plot. This\nis a new invalid and bogus theory which is doing the rounds rather rapidly. I have\ncome across many clients who refuse to even look at Vastu\u2019s which are Vastu\nShastra compatible but just because it has a \u201cNegative Number\u201d<\/strong> people\nbear this false notion that this is a negative Vastu and let go of some\nwonderful properties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Needless,\nto say this latest unfounded theory has no backing or veracity as far as any of\nthe ancient scriptures are concerned. In fact even Modern Vastu Shastra does\nnot have any sympathy to this norm. It is a pure mockery of Vastu Shastra and\nit is these pseudo Vastu Shastra consultants who then bring Vastu Shastra a bad\nname.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I earnestly hope that this Blog has been an eye opener for my readers as I am pretty sure that most must have believed in at least one of the five mentioned above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
