FAITH TODAY : INTERCHANGEABLE AND MATERIALISTICC

It is customary in my line of work as a professional astrologer to be repeatedly asked this common question which is - If the client has to pray to a particular God/ Goddess/ Deity for their well being and some for the appeasement of their malefic stars who should they pray to. This question sounds more like the political opportunist who would leave his lineage and all his faith for a greener Pasteur or more prospective party at the drop of a pin. I most certainly do not agree to worship any god just to have some materialistic gains. In other words, is the person saying that the gods he was praying to earlier are not good enough anymore? Prayer is a matter of deep faith and it is absolutely important for the person praying to have an inner connect which blossoms within his soul. Ones mental faculties and short sighted materialistic approach is certainly not going to reap any good returns.

You simply don’t switch gods like one changes shirts. Unflinching devotion and faith is what you need to have your prayers answered, not merely switching gods. At one hand we say god is one, the form we pray is only mere convenience for our inept wandering minds. Then why are we in the same breath so keen to change the form.

In my general course of consultation many a clients opine that they never ask anything from the almighty. I am wonderstruck to hear that as in my seldom meetings with the almighty I virtually have a list of demands akin to a ladies grocery list. I refrain from the argument that there is no need to ask the almighty anything as he knows it all. Okay, he being the almighty may know it all but I am simple human. I consider myself as a small child and the almighty my eternal father. It is in the nature of a small child to point at and ask for anything he likes or desires. I go a step ahead and claim that if I am not given my desired object or wish I throw tantrums at him. Is this not what small children do? In most of the cases the poor almighty gives up and grants me what I desire for or at least he will in his own mystical ways show me the folly for having asked for something. Friends we are human and it is human to ask, desire, wish. Do not stop yourself in asking the almighty anything. He is the ocean of love, compassion and strength. By not asking anything one is being unnatural and hence indirectly the subconscious mind is pressured. Be natural, be human. Most of us have not scaled those heights of spirituality where we can be oblivious of our pressing materialistic desires and go to the almighty as though nothing is needed at all. Let us face the truth and not behave like hypocrites with the almighty who is Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent.
