There are two aspects two your question. Firstly, I would always suggest that one should not keep a single peacock at home and rather keep a pair or a group of them. The Peacock’s are regarded auspicious in many ways. They are also known to attract prosperity and wealth. The peacock is also featured as a vehicle ( Vahan ) of one of the important Hindu Gods who is a warrior himself. So they also offer protection to the person who keeps them.
However, as per Indian Wild Life Act one is not allowed to keep Peacock’s as pet as far as my knowledge goes. It is a serious offence and hence my friend if you reside in India do not take this step and it is best that you reap the same benefits from the appropriate use of their feathers which are openly available in the market.
