Sorry, nothing in cart.
Shiva Om Dear Friends,
Undisputedly, it is the Burma Ruby which has the colour of the freshly spilled blood of a “Pigeon” as per modern gemological lingo. As per the classical texts the colour of the Ruby should be like a well developed and ripened Pomegranate seed. There needs to be transparency in the Gem along with minimum intrusions.
If other factors like the Cut, Carat, etc are also superior then its cost is mind blowing. Those who are truly inclined towards Gems of this quality and understand this pedigree however don’t mind coughing up the kind of money it commands.
Alongside it is important to bear in mind two more factors in regards to the Ruby. The first one is that it should be a fresh piece and thereby not worn by anybody else. As a used Ruby or for that matter any other Gemstone is not considered auspicious.
Secondly, the Ruby should have a powerful, positive and pulsating “Aura”. It should have a “Life Force” in it. This is best understood only by those Astrologers who have a Spiritual base.
One needs to be careful with a new term coined by traders called “New Burma” Rubies which are nothing but “Treated / Heated” Rubies. Do not fall prey to them. They are amply available in Bangkok and now from Bangkok they have found their way all around the world. They look stunning but are tampered pieces. Then there are “Glass filled” or “Feather Treatments” which are all best avoided.
These tampered Rubies are cheaper in cost and many a person on account of financial limitation prefers to purchase these Rubies. My only advice to them is that there are other kinds of Rubies which are natural and still not expensive. You should ideally opt for them. Ask your Astrologer to guide you in this regard. Ideally visit an Astrologer who has studied Gemology. This combination helps you in many other ways.
I earnestly hope that this Blog has helped you gain a better insight in the world of Rubies.
